Job Summary
Only 20 minutes from the Sacramento County line in the beautiful Sierra-Nevada foothills!
The El Dorado County Office of Education accepts applications for the position of Driver, on a year round basis, with no application deadline. This posting will be used to create an eligibility list. The eligibility list will be active for a period of six (6) months and will be utilized to fill current and future vacancies in this classification.
This position is a split-shift Driver for special needs students. Hours range from 7 to 8 hours per day, depending on available routes. Applicant must possess a valid Class C Driver's License. Applicant must be punctual, reliable, courteous, and able to work with a diverse group of people.
10% differential pay when assigned to a bus (requires bus certification).
Job Purpose Statement: Under the general supervision of the Director of Transportation, transports special services students on designated routes.
Requirements / Qualifications•Experience: Prior record of safe driving experience and successful interaction with children with special needs. Work experience in an educational setting is preferred.•Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
