Area Chief EngineerPosition Summary:
The main function of the Engineer is to performskilled maintenance and repair duties for the property, including but not limited to HVAC, electrical, paint touch ups etc… He or she is responsible for ensuring that all guest rooms and property are well maintained and in the best possible condition. Must approach all encounters with guests, associates and vendors in a friendly and
service-oriented manner.Experience & Education:Trade school or college course work in a related field preferredPrevious customer service& hotel experience preferred1 to 2 years practical experience in one or more of the technical trades (HVAC, Refrigeration, Plumbing, Electrical, etc.)Any license the property may requireRequirements:Work Environment – Ability to work:With various pieces of equipment such as computer, telephone, two-wayradios, TVs, maintenance equipment etc.Under variable temperature conditionsAround chemicals, fumes and other odor hazards, dust or mite hazardsPhysical Requirements:Long hours sometimes requiredMust be able to climb stairs, descend stairsMust be able to move quickly and agilely if a situation requiring quick assistance arisesMulti TaskHeavy work - Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 50 pounds of force frequently and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objectsAbility to stand for long periods of time and walk long distancesAbility to bend, stretch, twist or reach with your body and armsAbility to work under variable temperatures and noise levelsNear Vision
