Sonographer will specialize in transthoracic echocardiographic studies according to departmental and IAC protocol (which consist of M-mode, two-dimensional echocardiograms, color flow, pulsed wave and continuous wave Doppler). Sonographer will perform imaging enhancement agents, saline bubble, portable, stress echo studies, and assists with transesophageal echocardiographic procedures. Document completely and accurately patient data and echo exam information utilizing current information management system and follows appropriate billing for procedures. Assist in the orientation and training of all levels of trainees and visitors assigned to the Echocardiography Laboratory.RequirementsEducational Requirements Degree/Diploma ObtainedProgram of StudyRequired/Preferredand/orHigh School Diploma or EquivalentRequiredAdditional RequirementsGraduate from a cardiovascular technology program or diagnostic medical ultrasound program.
