Job Description:
The Forklift Operator is responsible for operating and handling equipment for the purpose of moving, loading, unloading, picking and counting merchandise in accordance with production standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Unload inbound shipments and move products to storage locationsEfficiently stock and store merchandise in appropriate areasLoad, unload, move, stock, and stage products and materials using a forklift, clamp truck, or other power equipmentPull and prepare product for shipment, ensuring the exact number and type of product is loadedKeep appropriate records and reports for job Tr inventory accuracyComply with all OSHA and MSDS standardsReport quality variancesMaintain the facility's equipment and materials in a neat, clean, and orderly fashionEnsure proper stock rotation and assist in physical inventoriesPerform additional duties as assigned by managementKey Requirements:
Must be 18 years of age or olderHigh School Diploma or equivalentSix months of warehouse and/or inventory experienceA forklift operator certificate or satisfactory completion of a forklift-training program is required within the first 30 days of employmentAbility to follow work procedures and safety rulesAbility to use automated inventory control equipmentHave appropriate eye, hand, and foot coordination to use various equipment and/or tools properlyAbility to load/unload, lift/move equipment/product which may weigh up to 100 poundsAbility to mount and dismount forklift through the duration of the shift, which requires bending, stretching, stepping, reaching, climbing, and stoopingAbility to stand, walk, bend, crouch, stoop, reach, stretch, step, climb, and/or sit frequently or through the duration of the shiftAbility to accept supervisory coaching related to performance, work habits, and attitudeAbility to function as a team member and get along with othersCompensation:
