Summary:
The Marketing Generalist provides marketing support and expertise to Team Members in a busy retail/c-store environment. This position supports the execution of various marketing and communication strategies, supports overall business objectives and provides creative ideas to meet the needs of our rapidly growing business.
Supervisory Responsibilities:NoneEssential Duties & Responsibilities:Supports the Marketing department on all projects surrounding the creation and support of marketing strategies, print and social media campaigns.Partners with in-house departments for new job creation, creative briefs, and scheduling.Manages marketing material requestsAssists the Marketing department and Motion Graphics Designer with photo and video shoots.Will grow into managing PR activities, including significant support moving into new geographic markets.Assists in the production and management of various marketing campaigns, brainstorms ideas campaign development and identify ways to track and measure the success of each campaign.Assists in event coordination and supports Marketing on all partnership relations and far-reaching activities that come with special events. Collaborates, participates in and coordinates promotional activities or tradeshows.Manages SIPS mascot for public relations opportunities. Supports researching new opportunities and manages scheduling for SIPS in current and new markets along with new store openings. Identifies multiple individuals to wear SIPS costume to allow for scheduling flexibility for additional city-wide exposure. Stays current on city events for SIPS appearance opportunities.Manages donation requests and scheduling of events through donations.Supports the management of Guest relations, aids in the growth and engagement of satisfied and dissatisfied Guests to maintain an outstanding public image; assists in resolving Guest complaints.Maintains knowledge of trends and developments in the market.Establishes and fosters relationships with management and all team members that will enable Marketing to be viewed as an integral part of the business.Embody personal leadership qualities through the following: Be in the moment to ensure authentic and humanistic interactions. Critical thinking and creative problem-solving skills; good business acumen and curiosity.Strong collaboration, interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to relate well with all levels in the organization.Project management experience.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Keen awareness of social and cultural trends.Good negotiation and conflict resolution skills; strong self-concept and ability to make decisions.Excellent organizational and time management skills; keen attention to detail.Acts with integrity, professionalism and confidentiality.Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and social media platforms.Requires rapid and thorough decision making and creative problem-solving skills, good judgment as well as the ability to accept personal accountability for areas of responsibility.Education & Experience:Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, PR or related field preferred;A minimum of two years of Marketing or Communications experience, preferably in the retail sector; OREquivalent combination of education and/or work experiencePhysical Requirements:Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.Must be able to lift 15 pounds at time.Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization's facilities.
