As a Technical Account Manager with AWC, you will work directly with our technology partners and develop a deep understanding of their products. You will interact with our sales team, engineering team and our customers to understand their applications and discuss how technology can be implemented for improvement. You will strive to leverage agile design and development methods to create greater value faster, and to help our project teams execute to deliver as promised, on time and within budget. The successful candidate must be innovative, passionate, and resourceful while demonstrating technical skills.

The Job

Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned client accounts, building strong relationships, and understanding their technical requirements and business objectivesCollaborate with internal teams to ensure timely delivery of products, services, and solutions that meet or exceed client expectationsIdentify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling additional products and services to existing clients, contributing to revenue growth and market expansionBuild profitable sales in an assigned territory through sales with current customers and demonstrate a commitment to prospecting and new business developmentConduct regular client meetings, presentations, and technical training sessions to deepen client engagement and promote product awarenessStay updated on industry trends, market developments, and emerging technologies to anticipate client needs and provide strategic recommendationsEffectively manage account activities, including sales forecasts, pipeline management, and reporting, to achieve sales targets and objectivesManage the entire sales process, from order placement to delivery and installation. Coordinate with internal departments, including engineering, procurement, and logistics, to ensure orders are fulfilled on time and according to customer expectationsProvide technical support and assistance to clients, addressing questions, resolving issues, and offering troubleshooting guidance as neededHunger to build by being a trusted "go to" expertTeach concepts from the basics of electricity and motor control to complex SCADA database management and networkingProvide technical support for the following products/technologies: PLC, I/O, HMI, SCADA, Drives, Synchronized Motion Control, Networking, WiFi, Radios, Motor Controls, Control Panel Design, and Power DistributionQualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or related fieldMinimum of 2 years of experience in technical sales, account management, or related roles within the industrial controls and automation industryStrong technical background with process automation technologies and methodologiesProven track record of successfully managing key client accounts and driving business growth through effective relationship management and solution sellingExcellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholdersStrategic thinker with a customer-centric mindset and a proactive approach to problem solvingProficient in CRM software and Microsoft Office suiteWillingness to travel as neededBonus Qualifications

Solid foundational knowledge of electricity and electrical principals4-year bachelor's degree / 2-year technical degree (preferred in an Engineering)Siemens, Phoenix, Rittal, Rockwell, Banner, Turck, FESTO experienceAbout AWC
