Midwest Commercial Interiors (MWCI) is a leading commercial contract furniture dealer and interior design firm. MWCI specializes in larger scale projects in healthcare, government, k-12 education, higher education, corporate and institutional contract clients.

We are seeking an ambitious and team-oriented Account Manager to join our amazing team in Salt Lake City. This position offers flexibility regarding working from our main office and showroom in addition to working remotely. This individual will work primarily with MWCI leadership, MWCI's VP of Sales and Design and the broader design and operations team to fulfill projects and tasks associated with business development activities, design, marketing, sales, operations, client engagements, showroom tours, project management and the like.

This position will focus on working with State, County and Municipal Government entities. Act as the primary point of contact with prospective and current clients throughout the sales, design and installation of projects. This person must have the ability to prioritize projects/tasks, communicate clearly, and work efficiently to ensure that deadlines are met.

This candidate will regularly interact and collaborate with a wide variety of internal colleagues including leadership, business development, sales, design, and operations as well as external architectural firms, general contractors, subcontractors and the client. Being comfortable in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment is crucial to the success of this role.

Compensation: Base pay: $60,000 annual base salary + Sales Commission

Hours: Office hours 8am to 5pm M-F. (in-person / hybrid remote)

The Account Manager manages new and existing client base providing a solid foundation of budget, schedule and process controls. This position builds relationships among stakeholders to uncover new opportunities and positions MWCI as a thought and execution leader with our customers. Will report directly to the VP of Sales and Design and is chiefly responsible for managing client relationships, project management of sales through fulfillment process, schedule management, coordination with manufacturers, proactively communicating with project stakeholders, promoting concepts, products and services to ensure client satisfaction and client retention.

Responsibilities:

Manage new and existing government accounts to ensure client satisfaction and on-going business relationships.Understand key trends and important issues in the market.Discover customer needs through company and industry research.Challenge your customer's thinking by uncovering their pain points through questioning and listening while positioning MWCI's design centric value proposition consistent with account strategy and planning.Market Visibility - Maintain awareness of key industry events and networking opportunities. Actively participate in these activities on a regular basis to develop partnerships, promote MWCI products and service offerings, and new sales opportunities.Provide outstanding service and value through collaborative problem-solving and timely response to client requests.Research products and services that appropriately address client's needs, budget, and timelines.Interface with vendors to understand product offerings, negotiate discounting terms and insure product availability.Maintain profitability on each project and timely billing in line with company procedures. Accurately bill for services using creative approaches to increase margin.Partner with internal team comprised of members of the Leadership, Sales, Design, Order Management and Operations divisions to successfully manage projects from inception to completion; manage project pipeline and work with internal teams to insure timely completion of deliverables.The ideal candidate will have experience developing Sales/Design/Marketing/Graphics for the preparation of budgets, bids, and proposals. Collaboratively develop presentation formats and approve final bid package.Review and understand GPO contracts such as NASPO, OMNIA and other cooperative purchasing agreements utilized to avoid competitively bidding projects.Demonstrate a growth mindset and commitment to continuous learning. Education/Experience

Bachelor's Degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university preferred; 3 years' related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
