Description
The Double Pump Down Operator is responsible for the safe onsite pressure pumping operation at the wellsite. Operators must have basic knowledge of a standard pump package with the ability to troubleshoot equipment at the jobsite. Must have the ability to identify and describe the function of the wellhead in order to rig up/rig down related equipment. Workload consists of 75% field and 25% shop with the ability to work away from home for extended periods of time. Must be able to obtain and maintain a commercial driver's license (CDL Class A).
Roles and Responsibilities: Have the ability to drive, rig up, maintain, repack and rig down equipment Demonstrates reliability, reports to work on time for scheduled shifts Shows initiative, demonstrates awareness and follows instructions Maintains a current and accurate daily activity log Responsible for filling out Driver's Logs, Pre-Trip and Post-Trip reports, Fuel reports and Monthly Maintenance reports Keeps the location clean and performs normal housekeeping duties Can identify and describe the function of wellhead components including valves, gauges, and pressure ratings Complies with HSE policies and safety program They must know all components of a standard pump package and describe it function They will perform other duties as assigned They work under the direction of the District Manager Skills:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety manuals, operations instructions and policies/procedures Ability to write reports and simple correspondence effectively communicating information to groups of co-workers and/or clients Ability to apply common sense reasoning in order to carry out detailed written or oral instructions Safety
Must have the ability to lift ±100 lbs. Work in toxic environments (Hydrogen Sulfide Gas) while wearing a self-contained breathing apparatus with full face sealed respiratory equipment weighing ±30 lbs. Work at remote well locations ±2 hours from the nearest medical care facility Work comfortably up to 15' above the ground wearing the appropriate fall protection equipment designated for the job Ability to evacuate a fellow employee in the event of an emergency
