Job description:
SummaryResponsible for the operation of a forklift or other heavy equipment to safely move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise around the facility.
Required Forklift Certification.
Roles & ResponsibilitiesPerforms a safety check of the forklift to ensure it is safe to operate.Checks fluid levels- For oil, water and fuel before operating the liftEnsures the packaging lines have empty pallets available and informs the supervisor of the pallet inventoryRemoves palletized bags from the production lines and places them on the stretch-wrapperOperates the stretch-wrapper and changes the stretch film as requiredPlaces palletized bags in inventory and ensuring they are located in the proper rows storing them neatly without damaging other inventoryActively participates in plant cleanliness by restacking, picking-up trash and debris, and washing their equipmentReads the BOLs and places the correct quantity and SKU on the carriers trucks in a safe and efficient manner.Any changes to the BOLs must be communicated to the Dispatcher and or office personnelPerforms physical inventory counts of finished goods as requiredMeets quality and quantity standardsResponsible for the safe operation of the forklift and maintaining fluid levels
Minimum Qualifications
Ability to drive a forkliftAbility to lift 50 poundsAbility to climb on and off of required equipmentAbility to sit for long periodsAbility to communicate effectivelyAbility to add, subtract, multiply and divideAbility to read and write English and/or be able to follow instructions.Ability to work in a dusty environment, hot/cold/rainy weather.Willingness to work mandatory overtime, including weekends and holidays.
Important Instructions:
1. All the candidates submitted to client should be local.
2. The minimum education qualification for every position is High School Diploma or GED. If your candidate doesn't have high school diploma or GED then, please do not submit.
3. Upon selection candidate should get their own Steel Toe Shoes. Client will provide the rest of the other safety equipment's onsite.
4. Candidate should have some knowledge or training on OSHA standards.
