Houseman
to work with our Housekeeping Team.
A Houseman isresponsible for the cleanliness of common areas in front and back of house, aswell as the restocking and cleaning of restrooms both in the front and back ofhouse. They also respond to radio callsfrom the front office and housekeeping team to deliver amenities to rooms (Inroom amenities, fresh linens, extra pillows, blankets, hangers, robes,slippers, etc).
MAIN DUTIES ANDRESPONSIBILITIES:Performscleaning duties in all public areas and back of house areasUse of houseman cart when cleaning restrooms as well as maintaining inventory ofnecessary supplies.Emptyinggarbage, removing dirty linens and towels upon request.Alwayscarries a radio and responds to any amenity delivery requests.Reportsnecessary maintenance issues to Front Office so a work order is made.Responsiblefor cleaning the Spa every evening after closure.Assistswith housekeeping as needed for Daily Housekeeping Service for in-house guests.Followsdepartmental policies and procedures.Followsall safety and sanitation policies.Assistsother departments when needed to ensure optimum service to guests.SPECIFIC JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITY
Operating Housekeeping equipment suchas vacuums, mops, maid cart, etc.Ability and willingness to adhere toall Averill Hospitality policies and ensure departmental personnel compliance.Must maintain a positive influence inthe community and positive relations with area vendors.Teamwork- Balances team andindividual responsibilities, exhibits objectivity and openness to others views,welcomes feedback, contributes to building a positive team environment, andprioritizes the teams success above own interests.Quality-Meets productivitystandards, completes work promptly, strives to increase productivity, worksquickly and efficiently.Guest Service-Responds promptly toguests needs and takes ownership of the overall guest experience.Professionalism-Respectablyapproaches others, reacts well under pressure, treats others with respect andconsideration regardless of status or position, accepts responsibility for ownactions, follows through on commitments.
NOTICE:
Standing, bending, stooping, and lifting weights up to andincluding 20 lbs. may be required. Thehospitality business functions seven (7) days a week, twenty-four hours aday. In addition, this is a hospitality business,and a hospitable service atmosphere must be projected at all times.
