Job Responsibilities:
Searches peer-reviewed literature, Institutional Review Board (IRB) form submission, and organizes and manages meetings pertaining to all research related projects. Takes data, trainee/faculty position or manuscripts and writes draft articles for publication. Assists faculty and residents in formatting manuscripts per journal guidelines, edits posters, papers, and manuscripts for publication and manages citations through EndNote. Assists faculty and residents with literature reviews, working with library staff on acquisition of articles through interlibrary loan. Assists faculty and residents with IRG package development, providing the appropriate documents to complete for projects. Organizes quarterly resident research meetings with research chair to promote resident research progress, maintaining progress reports using Excel. Keeps a log of resident research presentations and publications. Coordinates Psychiatry Resident Research Day activities. Coordinates research and grant meetings and sends reminders to residents and faculty for upcoming deadlines (Marshall Research Day, APA Submissions, etc.). Manages and reconciles grant budgets, allocates monthly expenses, purchases research supplies, and creates workshop materials, accreditation applications, MURC invoices and deposits, quarterly reports, and cost sharing reports. Obtains informed consent from patients. Performs other duties as assigned or requested.
EDUCATION:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in field. Must obtain CITI Certification.
EXPERIENCE:
One year experience in an academic practice setting preferred. Must be able to communicate well, both verbally and in writing. Experience with Marshall University Research Corporation paperwork and Banner preferred.
