Responsibilities:
The Program Manager will support Barrow Wise's State of Maryland Department of General Services (DGS) project and perform the following duties:
Serve as the single point of contact for the State regarding day-to-day IT project operations.Oversee and direct all resources provided under this RFP.Responsible for overall project governance, communications with executives, planning, budgeting, execution, monitoring, control, quality assurance, and implementing course corrections as needed.Manage day-to-day project activities.Identify issues and risks and recommend possible issues and risk mitigation strategies.Facilitate State agency and Contractor discussions/meetings.Ensure that performance is within scope, consistent with requirements, and delivered on time and within budget.Identify critical paths, tasks, dates, testing, and acceptance criteria.Ensure the application of State SDLC standards.Provide solutions to improve efficiency (e.g., reduce costs while maintaining or improving performance levels).Monitor issues and provide resolutions for up-to-date status reports.Document and deliver project management-related artifacts.An ideal candidate has the following:
U.S. CitizenshipBachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or a related discipline.Possess a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute (PMI).Minimum of ten (10) years of experience in project management.Minimum of eight (8) years of experience managing complex IT development projects, similar to that described in the Statement of Work.Minimum of three (3) successful projects with an organizational change management component that involves working with stakeholder groups across the organization.Minimum of five (5) years of experience using PMI's Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBoK) methodologies and artifacts.
