ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Maneuvering forklifts safely in busy industrial environmentsSafely stacking and unstacking large quantities of goods onto shelves or palletsMoving goods from storage areas to loading areas for transportUnloading deliveries and safely relocating the goods to their designated storage areasEnsuring that forklift driving areas are free from hazardsRegularly checking forklift equipment for faults or damagesUsing scanners to ensure accurate loads and updated inventoryMaintain neat, orderly, and safe stacking of inventoryScan and physically move corrugated and consumable units throughout the warehouseSplit load tags and break down units according to customer requirements and specificationsLoad and unload trailers accurately and safelyUtilize back log reports, daily shipping logs and load tag notes to carry out customer's loading requirementsUse protective materials and strapping equipment to secure loadsFollow all Safety and Safe Quality Food (SQF) guidelinesKeep area clean and hazard freeRequirements
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
Education Degree HS Diploma or GED preferredExperience and/or Training 2 years successful experience required, 5 years preferredForklift Certification preferredWorking knowledge of Microsoft WindowsAble to bend, twist, use of hands, lift up to 35 lbsWearing of PPE (glasses, hearing protection, safety shoes, safety belt, etc.)Ability to stand and sit for long periods of time
