It supports its clients sustainability efforts by helping them extend the life of assets, prevent unnecessary waste and carbon emissions, and reduce the number of products headed to landfills.General Summary:Operate powered industrial trucks to load and unload materials and deliveries and move them to and from storage areas, machines and loading docks, into railroad cars or trucks or storage facilities.Responsibilities:Obtains copy of production schedule or shipping order and transports material or equipment to and from designated areas in the warehouseLoading and unloading goods from vehicles such as trucksMoving goods packed on pallets or in crates around the warehouseStacking goods in the correct storage bays, following inventory control instructionsChecking loads are secureStacking empty palletsPerforming daily equipment checks such as recharging the trucks battery and lubricating equipmentExamining products to verify conformance to quality standardsDumping materials into machine hoppersOther warehouse duties as assigned
Qualifications:Education/ Experience:Warehouse experience requiredPrevious experience in a customer-facing roleCertified to drive stand up and sit down forkliftsEmployee should be familiar with and capable of operating standard office equipment (photocopier, facsimile machine, personal computer, adding machine, stapler, 3-hole punch, etc.) and warehouse equipment (manual pallet jack, dock leveler, scale, etc.); some lifting (up to 50 pounds) may be requiredSkills:Superior attention to detailGood interpersonal and customer communication skillsMust possess excellent organizational skills; detail-orientated with strong follow through skillsEnjoy a fast paced environment that is constantly changing
