Job Summary

Responsible for the coordination and delivery of par level supplies to the nursing units. Drives truck and delivers supplies to all departments. Maintains records and information related to inventory management. Receives, inspects and documents incoming material for all departments of Charleston Area Medical Center.

Responsibilities•Takes inventory and interacts with nursing unit staff to determine supply levels and product needs. Performs daily computer download of supply information and documents all inventory activities (adjustments, stock-outs and credits). •Fills supply requisitions for requesting departments and packs items for shipment. Ensures proper charging of supplies to departments. •Loads and unloads supplies from delivery vehicles. •Replenishes warehouse shelves with incoming stock. Replenishes stock of par level supplies on nursing units. •Inspects all products prior to receiving. •Authorizes receipt of incoming products. •Enters all receipt information into the Material Information System. •Performs internet package tracing. •Interacts with hospital and accounting staff to coordinate supply receipt and invoice payment. •Performs research on receiving / invoice discrepancies. •Prepares capital equipment reports for payment purposes. Assigns capital asset property tags. •Drives trucks for delivery of supplies. Delivers supplies to all departments and keeps records of receipt. •Keeps accurate records and files of all activities. •Coordinates patient charging information with Data Management. •Operates warehouse equipment. •Performs general housekeeping tasks. •Responsible for handling all inventoried medical supplies including some medications in secured locations on nursing units.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Education•High School Diploma or GED (Required) Experience: 6 - 12 months related experience with medical supplies.
