Our center is in need of a talented and compassionate Activities Director
to e stablish a plan to ease the transition for our residents and make life as fulfilling as possible through planning, developing, and implementing recreational activities that will meet the needs of our residents and target each life domain (physical, emotional, mental & spiritual).

Job Duties & Responsibilities
Plan, develop, organize, implement, evaluate, and direct the activity programs of this facility.
Assist in the development, administering, and coordinating of department policies and procedures.
Keep abreast of current federal and state regulations, economic conditions, as well as professional standards, and make recommendations on changes in policies and procedures to the Administrator
Review department policies and procedures, and workforce, at least annually, and participate in making recommend changes.
Develop and implement policies and procedures for the identification of medically related activity needs of the resident
Participate in planning, development and
implementation of activity care plans, resident assessment and interdisciplinary care plan.
Perform administrative requirements, such as completing necessary forms, reports, etc., and submitting such to the Administrator as required
Qualifications
Possess a Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist or Certified Activities Professional
Have a minimum of 2 years supervisory experience in Activities/Therapeutic Recreation
Possess a minimum of 2 years of recreation experience in the long-term care setting
Has the drive to support our person-centered care approach in order to meet each resident’s needs and preferences
Possess a true passion for excellence in quality of life measures
Effective communication skills to interact with residents, their family members, and the healthcare team members
