As a Senior Superintendent, you will play a crucial role in overseeing and managing all phases of construction, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Along with this, you'll oversee day-to-day construction operations for ground-up affordable housing projects and make sure everything is coordinated with subcontractors, suppliers, and on-site personnel.

Description

  • Manage the field and project team successfully and collaboratively
  • Establish and maintain positive and effective relationships with clients, Construction Managers, project team, consultants/architect/engineers, subcontractors, adjacent community, trade unions, and governmental agencies
  • Responsible for the project set-up, job site logistics, field coordination, and project schedule
  • Review all project documents for construction and content, including shop drawings
  • Maintain and update project records including RFI's, ASI's and as-builts
  • Create and enforce a site-specific emergency action plan for assigned projection collaboration with the Project Manager
  • Supervise and coordinate subcontractors
  • Coordinate with building inspections, subcontractor inspections, and agencies
  • Perform daily job site walks and submit daily safety audit reports
  • Conduct and/or attend Foreman meetings, pre-task meeting, safety meetings and project staff meetings
  • Manage job site manpower production and performance
  • Use project management and scheduling software effectively
  • Attend company and industry events including meetings, trainings, workshops, etc.
  • Other related duties as assigned or needed

Profile

  • 7-10 years of experience in construction management or a similar role, with a focus on multifamily residential projects.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale construction projects from inception to completion.
  • In-depth knowledge of construction processes, methods, and materials.
  • Familiarity with local building codes, regulations, and permitting processes in San Francisco.
  • Proficiency in construction management software and tools (e.g., Procore, Buildertrend, or similar).
  • Excellent leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team of construction professionals.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to liaise effectively with clients, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders.
  • Proven problem-solving abilities and capacity to handle complex issues that arise on-site.
  • Understanding of local zoning laws, environmental regulations, and sustainable building practices.
  • Ability to navigate city-specific challenges and regulations related to construction in San Francisco.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including potential evenings and weekends as project needs require.
  • Knowledge of and adherence to the latest industry best practices and standards.
