Description
Superintendent - Top ENR GC - Charlotte will be responsible for:
- Sets up project trailer, opens the job site at beginning of the day/secures the job site at the end of the day
- Actively participates in weekly subcontractor meetings, prepares meeting agenda and minutes as well as look ahead schedules
- Verifies subcontractor has signed contract and proper certificate of insurance in place prior to beginning scheduled work on job site
- Ensures that subcontractor is fully executing and complying with contracted scope of work
- Coordinates required inspections with local jurisdictions
- Coordinates and schedules all subcontractor activities. Identifies subcontractor non-compliance with safety, health, and environmental quality standards
- Identifies conflicts in construction progress and communicates with the project team for resolution
- Maintains daily log of activities on the job site
- Performs QAQC job site inspections and requires adherence to all applicable OSHA regulations
- Represents company professionally in project meetings, subcontractor, and field communications
- Performs related duties as assigned or as the situation dictates taking full ownership of assigned projects
Profile
Superintendent - Top ENR GC - Charlotte should have:
- 5+ years of construction supervision experience in commercial or multifamily construction
- Knowledge of all aspects of construction (technology, equipment, methods, etc.)
- Knowledge of the local market is preferred
- Strong leadership/management skills and a proven record of building on schedule
- Ability to identify, investigate and quantify project problems and corresponding alternatives and consequences
- Ability to identify deficient work and provide a resolution
- Ability to plan and prioritize work activities. Uses time efficiently, plans for additional resources, organizes or schedules other people and their tasks, and develops realistic action plans
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and written, and work productively with others & foster solid client relationships
- Ability to communicate and interact with various types of personalities and authority within an organization
- High school diploma; college education a plus
- Proficient with Microsoft Office products incl. Project, Word, and Excel
- Knowledge of MS Project or similar project scheduling software is preferred
- Knowledge of Procore or similar cloud-based project management software is a plus
