SummaryPosted: Weekly Hours: 40 Role Number:200541347In this role, you will join the Watch system validation team, ensuring that all new and existing hardware features are fully validated both on the bench and in our system stress rack. You will utilize your strong background in IC (Silicon) and/or system validation and passion for delivering excellent products to customers.
Description• You will have the opportunity to lead bench validation efforts, identifying key issues during the prototype phase and driving improvements in system design.
• Leveraging your expertise, you will also collaborate with cross-functional teams from various disciplines to define validation coverage and resolve issues.
• Utilizing your software skills, you will develop and execute scripts for the system stress rack to ensure the full system's stability under worst-case conditions, maintaining comprehensive coverage of stress patterns for all features.
Minimum QualificationsHands-on experience in board level bring up and validation for a product system or silicon IC development board.Strong familiarity with test & measurement equipment (oscilloscopes, probes, DMMs, VNAs, power analyzer, etc.) and high-fidelity signal probing techniques.Understanding of how to validate system-facing aspects of an IC in a board design: power delivery, host interfaces (USB, MIPI, I2C, SPI, UART, SPMI, PCIe), control signals, power rail sequencing.Basic understanding of Signal Integrity.Good written and verbal communication skills — the ability to summarize and organize information for large forums.Minimal travel, but must be willing to travel a few times a year to support factory builds.Preferred QualificationsTypically requires atleast 5+ years of experience. More senior level candidates can take on additional responsibilities.Scripting in Python or similar language for test automation.Experience performing PCB schematic and layout reviews to ensure specification compliance.MS or BS Degree in technical disciplinePay & BenefitsAt Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $121,900 and $214,500, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs.
