The Director/Partner for Transaction Advisory Services works with our Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A) Advisory practice servicing both corporate and private equity clients. Our M&A group services include buy-side diligence and sell-side diligence.Core Responsibilities:Lead and manage multiple challenging financial due diligence engagements.Participates in transactions related to the acquisitions by private equity investor groups and strategic corporate buyers.Develop and provide qualified planning approaches with timely & responsive services and work products that meet or exceed client expectations.Use proven business development skills to build on transaction advisory services work.Recognize business opportunities and enhance go-to market strategies.Lead teams to create a vision, form direction, and encourage team members.Essential Functions:Lead buy-side and sell-side transaction advisory engagements, providing financial and business due diligence assistance.Direct and coordinate approach of client, MGO’s engagement teams, and third party diligence providers throughout the transaction process.Manage staff to provide feedback and real-time guidance to client & diligence providers to ensure timely and efficient service delivery.Evaluate target company data to identify past and projected financial & operating trends, quality of earnings and working capital concerns, and potential liabilities and risks which impact valuation and negotiation of the target company.Design personalized transaction advisory reports specific to key issues such as normalized earnings, valuation models, and indebtedness considerations.Performs other duties as assigned by Partner.Minimum Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent experience.Master's degree preferred.Licensed CPA/equivalent certification is preferred.10+ years of related work experience including financial due diligence and experience in advisory.Proven track record of building and growing a Transaction Advisory Service Practice.Experience servicing private equity groups.Experience with developing and supervising teams.Proven thorough knowledge with operating in a professional services firm or large consultancy.Shows thorough abilities to identify and address client needs, including developing and sustaining meaningful client relationships and understanding the client's business.Keeps up to date with the Transaction and Advisory Services Industry, and Private Equity groups (PEG), following the industry's advancements.Why work for MGO?At MGO, we understand that our team members give their very best when they feel fully seen, valued, and supported.
