Section Head – Pediatric Hematology/Oncology – New Orleans, LA

Ochsner Health is seeking an experienced physician leader with vision and passion to serve as Section Head, Pediatric Hematology/Oncology at Ochsner Hospital for Children in New Orleans, Louisiana. The successful candidate will join three faculty to lead and grow this program to increase the number of children being cared for at Ochsner. Additional training and experience in bone marrow transplant and/or stem cell transplant is desirable.

The successful candidate will possess proven leadership, team-building, and managerial experience. Areas of administrative responsibility include physician recruiting, budgetary performance, productivity, quality, patient satisfaction goals and medical staff management.

In addition to patient care, the Department of Pediatrics is responsible for teaching pediatric residents from the Tulane-Ochsner Pediatric Residency program and teaches medical students from both Tulane and the University of Queensland. Academic rank and appointment will be determined by the candidates credentials and experience.
