Advocate Health is seeking a Medical Director (TCT) to join our physician-led medical group and serve its patients at Advocate Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge, IL, less than 30 minutes from downtown Chicago and minutes from O'Hare International Airport.

  • 1.0 FTE 
  • Clinical operations (ambulatory and inpatient service)
  • Quality and regulatory compliance 
  • Lead all aspects of the TCT program including education and research 
  • Anticipated institutional collaborative efforts for advancing the TCT program will include efforts with the Hematology-Oncology Medical Directors, Regenerative Medicine Program Director, and the Quality Director, as well as members of other facility leadership teams 
  • Serve as the Program Director for hematopoietic cellular therapy in accordance with FACT-JACIE Standards. 
 Training and/or experience required 
  • MD or DO
  • Licensed to practice medicine in Illinois and Wisconsin
  • Board certified in Hematology 
  • >5 years of experience of autologous and allogeneic transplant experience
  • Proven track record of as a clinical research investigator 
Preferred Qualifications and Skills
  • Proven success working with multi-disciplinary teams, history of training focused on the care of patients with hematologic malignancies and success in obtaining extramural funds for clinical trials and/or basic science research.
  • Ability to work with teams composed of a diverse workforce of investigators and research staff
  • Track record for mentorship of junior investigators
  • Requires excellent oral and written communication skills. Ability to effectively collaborate with and establish/build relationships with others.  Acts as a representative for Advocate Health in a positive professional manner.
  • Ability to work with donors seeking to support innovative care, research, and the next generation of clinicians. 
  • Funding as an independent investigator
