AdventHealth Central Florida, Orlando, FL, United States
Overview
The Walt Disney Pavilion at AdventHealth for Children and AdventHealth Medical Group Radiology are seeking a full-time ABR fellowship trained Pediatric Interventional Radiologist to join our expanding subspecialized practice of six pediatric radiologists and one pediatric neuroradiologist. The pediatric radiology group interprets over 100,000 pediatric studies per year. AdventHealth Medical Group Radiology has 150 radiologists and provides a total of approximately two million exams annually.
This position will allow for the unique opportunity to fully develop the pediatric interventional radiology program at AdventHealth for Children. Extensive support from the administrative and operational teams of both AdventHealth for Children and AdventHealth Medical Group Radiology will be provided. The physician will have access to state-of-the-art equipment in a recently updated fluoroscopy suite, dedicated clinic space/time, and advanced practice provider support. Rotations occur at a single hospital site in central Orlando, and pediatric interventional call is covered by the adult IR section.
There is an engaging pediatric case mix with multiple opportunities for a pediatric interventional radiologist including:
- Development of a pediatric interventional vascular malformation clinic: our growing Childrens hospital has a thriving pediatric dermatology group currently seeing vascular malformation patients. The ideal candidate would assist in developing the radiology components of this clinic, including overseeing imaging, and planning/providing interventional procedures.
- Involvement with the AdventHealth Transplant Institute team as needed for interventional procedures: AdventHealth for Children has an active pediatric transplant service and is the only hospital providing pediatric liver transplant in central Florida.
- Growing opportunity for musculoskeletal procedures following our recent partnership with Rothman Orthopedics.
- Oversight/management of pediatric interventional procedures including biopsy, abscess drainage, etc.
Requirements of the position:
