The Department of Internal Medicine, Division of Hospital Medicine at Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) seeks a Hospitalist Physician to join the inpatient internal medicine team at VCU Tappahannock Hospitala small, rural hospital nestled on the scenic banks of the Rappahannock River.

Position Highlights
- Daytime Duties:
- Admit patients from the ED or outpatient setting.
- Manage a daily service of 10-15 inpatients.
- Provide stepdown/intensive care with virtual intensivist support.
- Co-manage surgical patients.
- Night Shifts: Cross-cover the inpatient service and handle ED admissions.
- Teaching Opportunities: Mentor VCU Internal Medicine residents and other learners, as desired.
Qualifications
- Board Certified/Eligible in Internal Medicine.
- Experience managing complex inpatients.
- Understanding of the hospitalist role in both rural and academic settings.
- Dedication to fostering a diverse and inclusive environment.
