Position Summary:
This position will respond to the increasing need for cardio-centric imaging modalities at RWJBH and support the RWJBH Health system growth and expansion.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- This will be a full-time, academic position with clinical, research and teaching opportunities
- Demonstrates academic and research excellence in the field of cardiac imaging including echocardiography, cardiac MRI, CT and nuclear imaging (including PET)
- Participates in training and research relating to advanced cardiac imaging fellowship program (Echocardiography, nuclear, Cardiac CT and Magnetic resonance imaging), in addition to the core ABIM/ACGME required foundation in general cardiology
- Collaborates with RWJBH health system in developing patient referral practices
- Develops clinical trials and participates in extramural funding mechanisms
- Assists with quality, education and appropriateness use criteria for cardiac imaging
- Other duties as assigned by the Director of Advanced Cardiac Imaging and Section Chief of Noninvasive Cardiology
Education/Qualification
- Candidate must possess a MD and have achieved or are eligible for appointment at the rank of Assistant Professor
- Possess Level III training in echocardiography plus experience with other imaging modalities such as cardiac CT/MR and nuclear
- Strong clinical and research experience in cardiac imaging
- Strong commitment to clinical research and/or teaching are preferred
Certificates/Licenses
- Board certified in Internal Medicine and Cardiovascular Diseasespreferred
- Eligible for licensure in New Jersey
