The Division of Abdominal Imaging in the Department of Radiology at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine is seeking a fellowship-trained candidate for a full-time faculty position at the level of Assistant, Associate, or Professor in the Clinical Educator Track.  

  • The successful applicant will join 9 Body Imaging radiologists who are involved in imaging at multiple facilities, including Jackson Memorial Hospital (a primary, tertiary, and quaternary care County hospital) and from the University of Miami Hospitals and Clinics.

Job Functions:

  • Responsibilities will include providing clinical imaging services to interpret X-rays, CT, MRI, and Ultrasound examinations. 
  • Able to perform non-invasive fluoroscopic procedures.  
  • Participation in teaching residents, fellows, and medical students. 
  • Participation in clinical research, journal club, and weekly multidisciplinary conferences.  
  • Able to serve on Departmental committees as requested by the Chair of Radiology. 
  • Able to recruit, train, and mentor other faculty and staff physicians.   
  • Conducting research and publishing papers in academic journals. 
  • Representing the university at conferences and delivering presentations when necessary. 
  • Attending faculty and departmental meetings and voicing concerns or providing suggestions for improvement. 
 
 
 

Minimum Qualifications:? 

  • The ideal candidate for this position will have completed a fellowship in Body Imaging. 
  • Both junior faculty as well as more senior candidates with an academic record commensurate with experience will be considered.  
  • M.D. or D.O., Ph. D or foreign equivalent, in medicine and eligibility for full medical licensure in the State of Florida. 
  • Excellence in academic achievement as demonstrated by a record of scientific presentation and/or publications. 
 

 

In order to be eligible for University sponsorship for an H-1B visa, graduates of foreign (non-U.S.) medical schools must show successful completion of all three steps of the U.S. Medical Licensing Exam (USMLE), or equivalent as determined by the Secretary of Health and Human Services.
