Pulmonary Critical Care Medicine Opportunity:

Bon Secours Mercy Health Youngstown is seeking an energetic pulmonary critical care physician to assist in covering both inpatient and outpatient pulmonary services at St. Elizabeth Youngstown Hospital.  The successful candidate must be either board certified or board eligible.

We have a robust and established lung nodule program/clinic. The team provides advanced bronchoscopy procedures including cryotherapy, bronchial thermoplasty, and PleurX catheter.  APC and stents available per request.

An excellent thoracic surgery service is supportive and provides robotic lobectomy and minimal invasive surgery for early-stage lung cancer. 

Our service includes a fast-pace and growing medical intensive care unit.  The hospital supports various residency programs and includes an opportunity to work with a large residency program.

The center offers the following services to aid in the rapid diagnosis and efficient treatment of lung issues:

  •     Pulmonary Function Test
  •     Cardiopulmonary Stress Test
  •     Six-minute walk test
  •     Arterial Blood Gases
  •     Diffusion Capacity
  •     Polysonography
  •     Overnight Oximetery Evaluation

In conjunction with the Mercy Health Department of Research, the center also is a participant in multicenter clinical trials investigating new treatments for lung issues.
