Principal Cyber Security – Chief Architect (Government)

Our Cybersecurity team is seeking a highly motivated Chief Architect that will serve as the technical “visionary” for future security services, operational enhancements, and systems and automation for key programs. The Chief Architect will have expert knowledge of cybersecurity technologies, industry trends, and the latest cyber threats evaluating the art of the possible for designing, delivering and sustaining cybersecurity solutions. The position will be accountable for ensuring solution quality, presenting solutions to clients; and representing the solution to executive leadership. Works with product management to develop new cyber security offers to meet market demand. Job Responsibilities:Leading technical discussions with client leadership to include Chief Information Officer and Chief Security Officers Leading a team of engineers that develop complex solutions, bills of materials, capital costs, staffing estimates and costs, proposal responses, and systems design documentation.Designing, testing, and deploying new technology solutions leveraging new “state of the art” cyber security systems and toolsAssessing and documenting customer mission requirements, threat landscape, and future security needsDeveloping project work breakdown structure detailing work required to deliver cybersecurity solution.Developing topology, rack elevations, and cabling diagramsDeveloping bill of materials for hardware, software, and maintenanceDeveloping work statements to partner vendorsDeveloping basis of estimates for labor and staffingDeveloping solution cost modelConduct lab demonstrations, testing, and proof of conceptPreparing proposal responses, systems design diagrams/documents, customer presentations, and other work products associated with developing complex cybersecurity solutionsRequired Clearance: Must be a US Citizen and able to obtain government clearance (#clearable)Required Skills, Experience, and Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information systems, Engineering, Mathematics or Cyber SecurityOne or more cybersecurity certifications to include but not limited to Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Security+, Global Information Assurance Certification (GIAC), Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), and Certified Chief Information Security Officer (CCISO).Active Federal Government Security Clearance10+ years’ designing and engineering large complex cybersecurity solutionsExpert knowledge in Cybersecurity laws, standards, policies, and procedures including but not limited to FISMA, NIST 800, ISO 27000, GDPR, and NIST Risk Management framework.Expert knowledge in Firewall, Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS/IPS) , Security Incident Event Management systems (SIEM), anti-virus, DLP, Packet Capture, Advanced Malware Detection, Proxy services, DNS/DNSSec, and log collection systems.Expert knowledge of TCP\IP, DNS, BGP, TLS, common networking ports and protocols, traffic flow, system administration, OSI model, defense in-depth and common cybersecurity elements.Strong knowledge of cybersecurity threats to include Nation State trade craft; indicators of compromise, and cybersecurity Tactics/Techniques/Procedures (TTP).Strong knowledge of element management systems, systems automation, data gatheringMust have strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent written and oral communication skills.
