About The RoleCurrie & Brown is looking for a Sr. Cost Engineer for our client location in San Francisco. The successful candidate will support project leaders by providing construction expertise of our core services, including estimation, procurement, cost planning and more. These functions should be performed while generating a high standard of service, achieving successful outcomes for our clients, capturing, and sharing knowledge across projects, enhancing our culture of innovation, and reinforcing our reputation as a preferred service provider. Qualified candidates should also possess a strong desire to lead, mentor and develop a successful team.Responsibilities:Supporting the development and maintenance of budgets and tracking project costs throughout the life of projectsSupporting change management, estimating impacts of changes and contingency drawdownReviewing monthly cost reporting and budget reconciliationDeveloping risk register and tracking impactsHandling cashflow forecasting and monitoringReviewing contractor/consultant invoicesDeveloping WBS and cost breakdownsSupporting client account managementCommunicating details effectively to internal and external stakeholders including presentationsEstablishing new and maintaining existing project controls toolsRequirements:Bachelor’s degree in construction engineering, quantity surveying, or other relevant degreeMinimum of eight years’ experience in a cost engineer or project controls role on large complex construction projectsBackground in oil and gas, energy projects, industrial process, or pharmaceutical projects is requiredExtensive knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint)Proficient using Primavera P6 softwareGood time management, communication and interpersonal skillsWell-organized, diligent, proactive, assertive, well-disciplined and commercially astuteA team player with a ‘can-do’ attitude, outgoing, polite, patient, diplomatic, personable, respectful and flexibleAbout YouAbout UsCurrie & Brown is a worldwide leading physical assets management consultancy with over 100 years in business and 60 offices around the globe.
