As a Vice President, Strategic Account Management, you will be a senior account leader responsible for Tier-1 customer accounts for our contract logistics business. In this role, you will be tasked with providing global account management and selling to these accounts while increasing the company's wallet share and broadening and strengthening our overall relationship. You will gain deep understandings of the businesses we manage at all levels-from tactical to strategic-within the customer base you are aligned while creating a vision that can inspire customers to transform using GXO capabilities. What you'll do on a typical day:Provide global and local account management for a set of deemed global strategic accounts that are headquartered in your geographyRepresent and sell the entire GXO portfolio to your customers and seek to grow the overall wallet share of their logistics spendLead all aspects of the customer account with respect to logistics solutionsDrive the execution of customer-facing activities to conclusion in a quality, timely and correct mannerUnderstand and effectively navigate customers' supply chain process while building relationships and partners in positions that directly or indirectly influence the supply chain processHandle service pricing and margins according to agreed-upon termsWork with the customer globally and partner with GXO employees around the world to deliver solutions addressing needs of the customersTranslate the customer's strategy and priorities into a global pursuit roadmap encompassed in a strategic account plan you own and update regularly backed by a pipeline of opportunitiesProvide accurate timelines and forecasts on pipeline efforts to inform financial budgetsMonitor market conditions, product innovations, and competitors' products, prices and sales; report on market and competitor activitiesWhat you need to succeed at GXO:
At a minimum, you'll need:
Bachelor's degree in Sales and Marketing, Supply Chain, Logistics or equivalent related work or military experience10 years of experience in the sales of contract logistics and distribution solutionsExperience in logistics sales and sales management, sustaining and growing a portfolio of at least $25 million per yearIt'd be great if you also have:
MBA or advanced degree in related field15 years of experience in the sales of contract logistics and supply chain processesAvailability to travel 50% of the timeWell-developed interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate fellow team members and work in a collaborative fashion with the highest integrityAbility to professionally represent the company and build strong and sustainable relationships with our customers across their organization at all levelsExpert-level analytical, organizational and communication skills, and the stamina to use them every day
