Job Summary

This position serves as the technology architect for the Meter to Cash - Energy Supplier Services (ESS) applications. The technology architect leads, prioritizes, and develops the overall approach for the organization, and communicates architectural direction. The role requires extensive collaboration with vendors, analysts, IT teams and business users to define requirements, design processes and build solutions. The technology architect will be responsible for orchestrating IT’s delivery of business value, working closely with product management on all ESS related projects. This position reports to the Meter to Cash Group Product Manager.

Job Responsibilities

Primary Responsibilities are:

•Leads the creation or evolution of the enterprise architecture program/function.

•Develop IT investment roadmap that reflects the status of existing Third Party Supplier services and retail choice applications.

•Seeks opportunities to highlight how digital business initiatives will potentially impact enterprises’ economic architecture and metrics.

•Lead the resolution of any technical defects in the supported applications and manage any critical incidents.

•Designs and constructs future- and current-state business models to practically apply new and emerging technology to drive them.

•Understands the business’s economic and financial levers that are susceptible to digital transformation to effectively support and guide technology investment decisions.

•Documents capabilities and any changes to new or existing components and associated test activities and test results.

•Formulates, translates, advocates, and executes business strategy to achieve the organization’s targeted business outcomes.

•Research and assess disruptive technology and nontechnology trends that affect business. Provides practical advice and best practices to overcome these challenges.

Job Specific Qualifications

Required:

•Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field (STEM or IT for example) plus 6+ years of professional technology solution engineering.

•6-8 years of work experience in technology solution engineering.

•Extensive technical and functional experience in the development and support of IT systems. Preferred in ‘Meter To Cash’ (Electric and Gas) Area.

•Knowledge of system monitoring tools and commands to ensure quick and efficient resolution of issues.

•Exposure to Cybersecurity concepts and best practices.

•Demonstrated leadership capabilities through technology solution ownership and adoption, projects or other work experiences.

•Knowledge of business ecosystems, SaaS, Infrastructure as a Service (Iaas), Platform as a Service (Paas), SOA, APIs, open data, microservices, event-driven IT and predictive analysis.

•Demonstrated experience translating business outcomes, business requirements and technical requirements into technical designs for new technology solutions or enhancements to existing technology solutions, while following architectural standards and organizational policies.

•Demonstrated ability to work independently and multi-task effectively with strong analytical ability, problem solving skills, and attention to details.

•Demonstrated verbal and written communication and facilitation skills; demonstrated ability to foster working relationships with the team, IT Management and Client departments.

Preferred:

•Highly proficient in one or more of the following technologies: Lodestar, GASTAR, Retail Operations, SAP ISU, SAP Device Management.

•Experience in SAP ABAP development.

•Experience with SAP Energy Data Management and Electronic Data Interchange.
