Position Purpose

As the Contract Manufacturing Business Development Manager, your primary responsibility will be to help to grow and optimize our client organizations' businesses through the use of our contract manufacturing services. You will generate new business opportunities and drive sales growth for our contract manufacturing services, representing the DWFritz brand and the value that our contract manufacturing services afford our clients. You will be the key point of contact for clients seeking contract manufacturing solutions and will play a crucial role in building and maintaining strong customer relationships. This is a highly visible and dynamic role in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment that also manages vendor, internal and external stakeholder relationships across time-zones.

Responsibilities

To ensure success, the Contract Manufacturing Business Development Manager should be a self-starter, detail-oriented and have a good understanding of Contract Manufacturing services and best practices. We are looking for a team player with a passion for customer success that will be effective at identifying new opportunities, fill the sales pipeline, and managing the entire sales process from prospect initiation to securing commitment with new customers.

Identify and target potential clients who require contract manufacturing services in industries such as electronics, semiconductor, automotive, energy storage, medical devices, AI, and other fast-growing industries.Proactively generate new business leads through market research, networking, cold calling, and attending industry events.Conduct in-depth needs assessments with potential clients to understand their requirements, technical specifications, and project timelines.Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, production, and project management, to develop and present customized proposals that meet clients' manufacturing needs.Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations and product demonstrations to showcase the capabilities, quality standards, and value propositions of our contract manufacturing services.Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms of agreements in coordination with the sales management team and legal department.Build and nurture long-term relationships with clients, acting as their primary point of contact for all inquiries, concerns, and ongoing project updates.Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments to identify opportunities for business expansion and stay ahead of market changes.Achieve sales targets and objectives by effectively managing the sales pipeline, forecasting sales, and developing strategies to drive revenue growth.Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless project handover from the sales phase to production, ensuring customer expectations are met or exceeded.Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Knowledge of SalesForce CRM, Microsoft Office Tools, ERP SystemsStrong knowledge of advanced manufacturing processes, industry standards, and quality management systems.Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively convey technical information and value propositions to diverse audiences.Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with key decision-makers and influencers in client organizations.Results-driven mindset with a focus on achieving sales targets and delivering exceptional customer satisfaction.Exceptional negotiation and contract management skills, with the ability to effectively navigate complex sales cycles.Highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.Ability to travel as needed to meet with clients, attend trade shows, and industry events.Education and Experience

Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or a related field required. Relevant work experience in sales or contract manufacturing may be considered in lieu of a degree.5+ years of direct sales experience required.Proven track record of success in building a territory preferably within the contract manufacturing, electronics, or related industries.Proficient in using SalesForce CRM software and other sales productivity tools to track leads, manage accounts, and generate reports.Interpersonal Contacts
