As a Business Development Associate at Convera, you will be responsible for identifying and qualifying new client opportunities, developing lead pipelines, and generating new revenue. As part of the Growth Payments segment of our Sales team, there will be a focus on acquiring new business in regions and/or industries with the highest potential for development.

You will target a range of companies in terms of industry/scope/size, with an eye on industries that hold untapped potential. Through client assessment, you will apply best practices to identify service and product opportunities. You will work closely alongside Business Development Managers to enhance Convera's presence in various business sectors.

You will be responsible for:

Contacting potential clients in order to qualify their needs and arrange follow-up meetings for our business development teamAchieving daily, quarterly, and annual targetsUsing commercial awareness to demonstrate our value proposition to prospective customersEducating prospects to determine potential strategy and service fits for their businessEnsuring that the quality and quantity of meetings meets our established standardsEnsuring that effective working relationships are maintained with Business Development Managers, with frequent collaboration on targeted client campaignsRemaining fully conversant with the organization's products and servicesAccurately updating / maintaining data and records, and ensure they are followed through in accordance with departmental procedures and SLAsPromoting the Convera brand and solutions servicesProviding a first-class service to customers both internal and externalWorking as a team member, encouraging and supporting othersYou should apply if you have:

A proven track record of: achieving established targets, identifying new sales opportunities, delivering client solutionsExperience in using data to drive performance and impactful customer outreachEffective time management skillsDrive to build commercial and product knowledgeEffective time management skillsExcellent communication, conversational, and listening skillsStrong interpersonal skills to lead and build positive relationships - both internally and across the customer baseStrong negotiation, communication, and presentation skills in all approaches12 months experience in an outbound telephone sales role (preferred)Full fluency in EnglishBachelor's degree in marketing, business administration, sales, or relevant field (preferred)
