Our client is in search of a
Front-End Development Engineer
to join their team. In this role, you will be responsible for crafting high-quality web applications utilizing cutting-edge technology stacks. This position is integral to supporting a recently acquired Task Order that aids the National Media Exploitation Center (NMEC) as part of our 10-year DOMEX Technology Platform (DTP) contract. Under this Task Order, we facilitate NMEC's mission to streamline and standardize the Tasking, Collection, Processing, Exploitation, and Dissemination (TCPED) of Open Source Intelligence (OSINT) across the Department of Defense (DoD) and the Intelligence Community (IC) enterprise.
Responsibilities:
Coding, testing, and debugging new and/or existing web applicationsImplementing and refining user interfacesConducting thorough unit testing via automated toolingCollaborating with other team members (internal and external) to ensure optimal performance and usabilityPeer reviewing code written by fellow team membersUtilizing virtualization technologies like Docker and ContainerD
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or a scientific or technical discipline, plus 4 - 8 years relevant experience.Must possess TS/SCI clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain TS/SCI with PolygraphExperience with modern front-end libraries such as ReactJS, with a minimum of 2 years professional experienceStrong proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScriptSolid understanding of HTTP web requests for fetching JSON dataExcellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to write well-documented code.
Preferred Qualifications:
A genuine passion for creating great user experiencesExperience with writing frontend unit testsExperience with writing backend web API servicesExperience coding in other languages such as PythonFamiliarity with NoSQL datastores such as ElasticsearchFamiliarity with performance optimization techniquesUp to date with emerging front-end technologies
