POSITION OVERVIEW
dormakaba is seeking a Second Shift (12PM - 8:30PM) Material Handler I based in Indianapolis, IN. This person will be responsible for performing manual and clerical duties and may also utilize computers in the preparation of materials and supplies for assembly and manufacturing. This role typically involves end to end ownership of the material replenishment and fulfillment process for all materials in the plant.
HIRING SALARY RANGE:
Base Salary $17/hr. - $19/hr.
plus mandatory overtime as needed (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data). $2,000 Sign-on Bonus (details provided during interview)
WHAT YOU WILL DOOperate material handling equipment including, but not limited to: Fork Truck, Forklift, Work Assist Vehicle (WAV), Turret Stock Picker (TSP)Ensure appropriate stocking levels are maintained without disruption to customers while partnering with other departmentsExamine shipments at the time of delivery for damage, and verify the accuracy of information listed on packing slips, invoices, and bills of lading by visually inspecting the boxes, ensuring the accuracy of internal deliveriesComplete material movement transactions utilizing Systems, Applications & Products (SAP) software via RF device or computerPull material parts from bins using a pick list and RF device to fill Transfer Orders (e.g., identify the specific part/lot number, quantity, and locations of all ordered items)WHAT WE REQUIRE
High school diploma or equivalentPossess basic computer knowledgeExperience communicating effectively within a manufacturing environmentSolid Powered Industrial Vehicle (PIV) experience, or the ability to be certified on such warehouse equipment, may be required (must be comfortable working at heights of up to 25 feet)Physical ability to stand/walk/sit, to use hands and fingers to handle/feel, to reach with hands and arms, to climb/balance, to lift up to 50 pounds, and to use close vision with or without correctionWHAT WE PREFER
