Assistant Vice President / Vice President - Private Credit Operations

Arena Investors, LP ("Arena") is a global investment management firm that seeks to generate attractive risk adjusted, consistent and uncorrelated returns by employing a fundamentals based, asset-oriented financing and investing strategy across the entire credit spectrum in areas where conventional sources of capital are scarce. Arena specializes in off-the-run, stressed, distressed, illiquid and esoteric special situation transactions through originations and acquisitions of asset-oriented investments across a wide array of asset types (including but not limited to private direct corporate credit, commercial real estate bridge lending, and commercial and consumer assets).

Quaestor Advisors, LLC ("Quaestor") is an affiliated Special Servicer, which provides mid and back office services, including asset management, to Arena Investors and external clients.

Quaestor is looking to expand the team through the addition of an experienced loan AVP/VP to focus on internal loan administration. This individual will be exposed to each step in the origination life cycle of private and syndicated loans and other structured financing arrangements.

Responsibilities

Manage the internal and external loan operations team through the full life cycle of loan originations and other credit-based investmentsPre-deal closing assessment with Front and Mid Office for deal workflowLoan documentation review, investment allocations, treasury, and structuring review to ensure proper settlement and closing of new dealsAdministration and management of investments including borrower communication, cash monitoring, trade and accrual bookings, loan and interest statements, and reconciliationsAmendment, restructuring, and payoff/settlement processingFull daily and monthly reconciliation process in connection with Fund NAV reviewStrengthen process and controls framework with process enhancements, training, and technologyManagement of internal databases (i.e. deal pipeline, CRM) and loan systemsReview of credit documentation for various types of loan facilities across platformReviewing daily position, cash, and accrual reconciliations from the Fund AdministratorAssist with supporting requests for annual audits and other regulatory filingsProvide analytical support to various groups - Marketing, Compliance, and Mid Office

Requirements

Bachelor's degree from a top university, ideally in a quantitative area7+ years of direct experience in loan administration and/or agency at a securities or investment firmExcellent Microsoft Excel (VBA a plus) and writing skillsPrivate credit experience and familiarity with various financial instruments across industriesEnd-to-end deal closing and loan administration experience including loan setup, principal and interest processing, deal amendments, and payoffsWall Street Office (WSO), Loan IQ or equivalent system experience a plusThe highest level of personal integrity and ethical standardsA positive attitude, strong work ethic and a team playerAbility to communicate at a high level and strong attention to detail
