Job DescriptionWe have an IMMEDIATE NEED for a Java Developer to serve as the Marklogic SME and provide Agile DevOps support to mission critical systems. As the Marklogic SME on this program, you will have the opportunity to build strong systems, software, and cloud environments and provide operations and maintenance for critical systems. The candidate will design, develop, and implement Marklogic code and data within technology initiatives. Based in a DevOps framework, participate in and/or direct major deliverables of projects through all aspects of the software development lifecycle including scope and work estimation, architecture and design, coding, and unit testing.
Primary Responsibilities:
Design and develop solutions that integrate Marklogic with existing enterprise platforms and systemsDevelop XQuery, JavaScript and REST modules on the Marklogic technology stackDevelop Entity modelsUtilize the Marklogic library to support GRC initiativesParticipate in software programming initiatives to support innovation and enhancement, using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Java, Python, SpringBoot, and Hibernate.Developing and directing software system validation and testing methods using Junit and KatalonDevelop and integrate custom developed software solutions to leverage automated deployment technologiesDevelop, prototype and deploy solutions within Commercial Cloud Solutions leveraging Infrastructure platform servicesCoordinate closely with team members, Product Owners and Scrum Masters to ensure User Story alignment and implementation to customer use casesAnalyze (though proof of concept, performance, and end-to-end testing) and effectively coordinate Infrastructure needs driven by developed software to meet customer mission needsSupport the Agile software development lifecycle following Program SAFe practicesUse industry leading DevOps tools like GitHub, Jenkins, Unix bash scriptingDocument and Perform systems software development, including deployment of build artifacts across different environments leverage GitFlow constructsCommunicate key project data to team members and build team cohesion and effectiveness.Leverage Atlassian tool suite like JIRA and Confluence to track activitiesApply and identify best practices and standard operating proceduresCreate innovative solutions to meet the technical needs of customers.Requirements
Basic Qualifications:
Candidate must have an active TS/SCI with a PolygraphRequires Masters with 15+ years of prior relevant experience or Doctorate with 13+ years of prior relevant experience. Additional years of experience can be accepted in lieu of a degree.7+ years of hands-on application development utilizing the Marklogic frameworkStrong analytical and design skills, including the ability to understand business requirements and translate them into efficient and effective technical designs that work well within large-scale, well-structured enterprise environmentsExperience in the development of service-oriented architecture applicationGood understanding of Object-Oriented Design and Design PatternsExperience with implementing the Marklogic java-client-api within an enterprise applicationStrong knowledge of XQuery, FLWOR queries, JavaScript, Marklogic, SPARQL, RDF data, XML Data, triple-stores, XML ProcessingExperience with developer Marklogic Entity ModelExperience with building Marklogic data hubExperience with Unix/Shell scripting.In-depth experience Java and data processing, manipulation or querying (SQL or NoSQL)Proficient with common Agile practices, service-orientated environments, and development practicesIn-depth experience in the software development lifecycle, with experience delivering within DevOps toolsets/practicesDirect experience utilizing software testing performance tools, such as JunitExperience with scripting languages, such as Python, BashExperience working in an Agile development environment and tempoExperience with development in Commercial Cloud Platforms (ex, AWS, Google Cloud, Azure)Experience with development leveraging cloud data services (ex: S3, RDS, EFS)Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)Preferred Qualifications:
