ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Operate Scrap Compactor, process accumulated scrap daily. Maintain organization of slugs and stage slugs on the production lines for 24-hour period. Unload incoming material including slugs and packaging material. Complete receiving records and put slugs away in designated racking system. Maintain and monitor accurate inventory records using the Company's computer system. Empty chip hoppers as required by production. Pick up cardboard and operate bailer, ensure all bailers are empty at the end of your shift. Assist with emptying hoppers on lines as required by production. Maintain acceptable housekeeping and safety standards. Support other operations within the Warehouse department. Performs related job functions as assigned. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.
Qualified forklift operator (previous experience required) Capable of standing and lifting for an extended period. Ability to pass an ASHO regulated forklift test - required before starting position per OSHA. Computer experience and/or ability to operate computer is required.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High School diploma or GED equivalence. Preferably previous forklift experience.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Must be able to wear safety glasses, ear plugs and PPE.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, and use hands to finger, hands, or feet. The employee is required to sit, reach with hands and arms and stoops, kneel, crouch or crawl. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and the ability to analyze color. Must be able to lift 50lbs.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, airborne particles, chemicals, and extreme heat.
