Pridestaff Charlotte is seeking a skilled
IT Specialist
to join our team in Charlotte, NC. This position is responsible for troubleshooting and performing IT support duties for our growing manufacturing client.
Salary $50,000 - $55,000 Annual Salary
Monday through Friday 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Administer network and data security, including directory, group policy, firewalls, virus protection, and email securityPerform data backups to ensure all company-owned work is savedInstall and update network system improvementsInstall and configure wireless networking equipmentMonitor servers, LAN/WAN, and Wi-Fi to ensure full coverageAssist with the design, implementation, and support of new software and featuresEvaluate connectivity issues, equipment, and software and hardwareRespond to IT issues; hardware maintenance, software, networking, etc.Provide helpdesk and technical support either by phone, remote access, or site visitsOversee troubleshooting for system errorsSet up equipment for new users and employeesConsult with vendors and clients to integrate and update company technologyOther duties as assigned.Experience:
Required: 1-2 years of experience in IT troubleshooting, server administration, or other related IT positions required (e.g., Networking, System Administration, etc.).Candidates should have a working knowledge of Microsoft Windows Microsoft Office , VPNs (PPTP & VPN), Firewalls (WAN & LAN), DNS Servers DHCP Server & DNS Routing, etc.Experience using ODOO software is a big plus!Experience with Linux or other open source operating systems is a plus but not required.Strong computer skills in Active Directory & AD LDS are required.A bachelor's degree in IT or a related field is preferred but not required.Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills.Keen attention to detail.Good organization, time management and prioritization.Efficient troubleshooting abilities.Effective communication skills, including speaking, writing and active listening.Great customer service and interpersonal skills.
