Position Overview:We are seeking a skilled and motivated Backend Java Engineer to join our dynamic development team. As a Backend Java Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable and high-performance backend systems. Your primary focus will be on developing server-side logic, ensuring high responsiveness to requests from the frontend, and collaborating with front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic.Key Responsibilities:
Design and Development: Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable Java code. Develop and implement backend services and APIs to support new and ongoing projects.System Architecture: Collaborate with architects and other engineers to design scalable and robust system architectures.Integration: Integrate user-facing elements developed by front-end developers with server-side logic.Database Management: Design and optimize database schemas, write complex SQL queries, and perform database migrations. Work with both relational and non-relational databases.Performance Tuning: Identify bottlenecks and bugs, and devise solutions to mitigate and address these issues. Ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.Security: Implement security and data protection measures. Stay up-to-date with security standards and apply them to the development process.Testing and Debugging: Write unit tests, integration tests, and perform debugging. Ensure code quality and maintainability by conducting code reviews and following best practices.Collaboration: Work closely with product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical specifications.Documentation: Maintain clear and comprehensive documentation of code, system designs, and APIs.Qualifications:
Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Equivalent practical experience may be considered.Experience:
5+ years of experience in backend development using Java.Proven experience with Java frameworks such as Spring Boot, Hibernate, and other relevant technologies.Experience with RESTful API design and implementation.
Technical Skills:
Proficient in Java, with a good understanding of its ecosystems.Familiarity with build tools such as Maven or Gradle.Experience with database technologies such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or similar.Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud is a plus.Familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
Soft Skills:
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
