About the Position
To be successful as a data entry operator, you must be familiar with various computer programs such as Excel, Outlook and related business applications. You must also have the ability to understand the relationship between different types of data and the ability to examine that data for errors. Strong typing skills and attention to detail are required.
Essential Functions:
prepare, compile and sort documents for data entry and northern customs.
check source documents for accuracy
verify data and correct where necessary
obtain additional information for incomplete documents
update data and delete unnecessary files
combine and reorder source document data where necessary
enter data from source documents into the prescribed database, files and computer forms
transcribe information into the required electronic format
scan documents into document management systems or databases
checking the accuracy of the work performed
storing completed documents in designated locations
responding to requests for information and accessing relevant files
print information when required
Other duties:
Comply with all company policies, including human resources, security and department policies.
Assist the team leader and/or billing supervisor with other miscellaneous duties as needed
