The Seasonal Shipping Clerk will augment our Center team on a part-time basis for a predetermined period of time to help with surges in business activity. He or she delivers world-class customer service to all retail customers by expertly boxing and packaging the customer's product, receiving and processing packages for courier shipment, providing telephone support to customers, and operating point-of-sale devices to complete the customer's transaction. The Shipping Clerk expertly advises our valued customers by providing accurate information on our array of products, services, and best-value options and exhibits confidence by knowing best practices related to the industry.

The ideal candidate has previous shipping experience, strong computer and internet skills, a high school diploma or GED, a friendly and genuinely helpful demeanor, and a professional appearance. He or she must be a fast learner who makes an effort to learn all aspects of the business in the shortest possible time. In addition, the Seasonal Shipping Clerk must be willing and able to work a very flexible, part-time schedule that may span Monday through Saturday during seasonal peaks.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Delivers outstanding customer service to walk-in customers and telephone inquiries Continuously practices good listening skills with customers, UPS Store team members, and leadership Takes ownership of the customer's shipping needs and offers viable solutions Helps customers with expert boxing and packaging, selling the appropriate products to ship materials safely and efficiently Takes action to learn all product and service offerings, alternative solutions, and industry trends Provides prompt, efficient shipping expertise Provides completed documentation for shipping Answers phones courteously and provides accurate, detailed information Helps with other Center functions as needed, such as faxing, copying, laminating, and binding Maintains a clean and safe working environment Performs other duties as assigned QUALIFICATIONS

High school diploma or GED required Shipping experience desired Able to help customers with boxing and packaging their materials Good communication and people skills Outstanding phone skills Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office and Adobe Suites Strong verbal and written communication skills, including spelling and math Able to operate a wide variety of business equipment Prompt, reliable, and responsible Able to lift 40+ pounds Willing and able to work a very flexible, part-time schedule that may span Monday through Saturday during seasonal peak periods
