Location: Houston, TX (Onsite 2 to 3 days)Project Duration: 6-12 MonthsAldon Exp is mustCoordinates OS version upgrades, software fixes, and preventative maintenance to minimize risk and service disruptionsPerforms installation, upgrade, configuration, deployment, and administration of iSeries/AS400 operating systems and hardwareResolves issues and implements projects at an advanced technical level regarding iSeries/DB2 as it is connected to by other DatabasesWorks to ensure user satisfaction by providing installation, configuration, preventative maintenance, troubleshooting and quickly resolving complex problemsResolves availability, capacity, and performance issuesEnsures that system improvements are successfully implemented and monitored to increase efficiencyMonitor MIMIX audits and resolve issues as neededPerform scheduled role-swap test using MIMIXActs as a liaison between internal and external user communitiesCollaborates with application support staff and DBAs to ensure external databases can connect to the DB2 database.Create Aldon audit reports as requested by the auditing teamCollaborates with application support staff to perform Aldondeployments to non-production environmentsCollaborates with application support staff to perform Aldon application deployments to production environment with approved Change RequestsPerform quarterly US Government Client database (PerZip) updatesPerform iSeries technical support and expertise to resolve issues (e.g. printers, devices, backups, etc)Collaborate with different teams to analyze and resolve issues with the agents installed on the iSeries LPARsMay act as team leader on projectsProvides after-hours and weekend support as neededCreate SOP's as needed
