Well-established Physician-owned Northern California private practice is seeking a full-time interventional radiologist. We have a very busy clinical IR practice covering two local hospitals.
Group of 22 physicians includes 4 fellowship trained Interventional Radiologists, 2 Neuro-Interventional Radiologists, 16 Diagnostic Radiologists and one IR physician assistant. The IR service includes a wide array of advanced procedures for treatment of PAD, venous disease, IR oncology (Y-90), kyphoplasty, GI/GU disease.
An outpatient IR/NIR clinic on campus at our main hospital ( 500+ bed). Call coverage is divided equally. Physicians are actively involved with hospital service lines including tumor board, level I trauma, and comprehensive stroke care.
Practice: Private practice, W2 employee, partnership track available after the two years if they would like it
TYPICAL WORK WEEK SCHEDULE: 8-5, M-F. Mix of outpatient and inpatient dependent on the cases/procedures.
PERCENTAGE OF INPATIENT, OUTPATIENT, ROUNDING, ETC. REQUIREMENTS: 15% outpatient and the rest inpatient. Plenty of cases. Rounding with a PA with the physician on clinic and at the hospital. There are 2 IR s and 1 NIR every day and 1 IR at EMC to manage workflow
CALL REQUIREMENTS: On call 1/4: Call is usually taken in week long blocks Monday through Sunday, covering any emergencies outside of weekday hours. If at home you can review cases/patients at the hospital via remote access to Cerner of the hospital and remote access to PACS for case review/dictation as well as medical record charting.
DAILY PATIENT CENSUS: IR inpatient census varies but averages 1-2 admissions per week.
