The neuro-oncologist will be involved along with other members of the neuro-oncology team (2 neurosurgeons, dedicated advanced practitioner, radiation oncologist, neuro-pathologist, and neuroradiologist) in the clinical neuro-oncology program.

The neuro-oncology program includes a busy multi-disciplinary clinic that treats patient with brain and spinal cord neoplasms. It has an active clinical research program and the neuro oncologist will play an important role in this as well as in the teaching of medical students, residents and fellows.

-The Neurology Division consists of:

-24 physicians, 2 PhDs, 4 APCs, and is an integral part of the Tufts neurology residency.

-7 full time specialists of which 3 are focused upon cranial disorders.

-Expertise in skull base, cerebrovascular surgery, functional neurosurgery, and stereotactic radiosurgery.

-2 neurosurgery residents and one fellow on service.

-The Hematology Oncology division consists of 17 physicians and 9 advanced practitioners.

-Providers have disease-specific expertise in the full range of neoplastic diseases including a FACT certified autologous stem cell program In addition, the division is actively engaged in many clinical and translational research projects.

-300-bed tertiary care facility and outpatient clinic.

-physician-led, multi-disciplinary group practice of more than 500 physicians.

-40 bed Emergency Department (Level II Trauma Center).
