Position Overview
This role offers the opportunity to be part of a fast-paced environment where you will play a critical role in evaluating, executing, and monitoring direct lending investments. The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical background, excellent communication skills, and a proven track record of success in financial modeling and analysis.
Key Responsibilities
Investment Evaluation and Execution : Perform detailed financial analysis and due diligence on potential direct lending opportunities, including cash flow modeling, valuation analysis, and assessment of financial and operational performance.
Market Research : Conduct industry and market research to support investment decisions and identify emerging trends that could impact the portfolio.
Portfolio Management : Monitor the performance of existing investments, including compliance with financial covenants, analysis of quarterly financial statements, and ongoing communication with sponsors and management teams.
Deal Structuring : Assist in the structuring of transactions to optimize returns and mitigate risks, in collaboration with senior team members.
Stakeholder Communication : Prepare investment memorandums and presentations for the investment committee and participate in discussions regarding investment decisions. Maintain effective communication with sponsors, management teams, and advisors.
Team Collaboration : Work closely with other team members to share market insights, investment ideas, and best practices. Contribute to the overall success of the platform through proactive engagement and teamwork.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or related field from a top-tier university.
2-5 years of experience in investment banking, private credit, leveraged finance, or a related field.
Strong financial modeling and analytical skills, with proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly and concisely.
Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment, managing multiple projects and priorities effectively.
Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and commitment to excellence.
Knowledge of the private credit market and experience with sponsor-backed transactions preferred.
