The Divisional Controller is a hands-on finance position that will direct the financial affairs ofone of the largest Business Units across the company. Reporting to the VP Finance andAdministration, this role will be managing the AR, AP, payroll, and general ledger functions andsupervising the accounting staff, as well as overseeing the preparation of monthly financialstatements. The role offers the potential for future progression.
Responsibilities
:
Responsible for coordinating, planning and reporting on financial activities of the
Business Units
Coordinates and prepares various monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports
Responsible for financial audits ensuring all requested information is of high accuracy
and delivered timely
Responsible for all financial policies and procedures in accordance to GAAP or
International Financial Reporting Standards
Responsible for all financial records
Develops and documents business processes and accounting policies to maintain and
strengthen internal controls
Responsible for compliance with local, state and federal tax requirements and tax filings
working with our external advisors
Manages the production of the annual budget and forecasts as well as develops and
monitors business performance metrics
Hires, trains and retains skilled accounting staff
Other duties—as assigned
Desired qualifications
:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or business administration, at minimum
Seven to 10 years of progressively responsible experience in a similar position
Certified Public Accountant
Experience in public accounting is highly valued
Solid communication, technology, analytical and managerial skills
