The Senior Wealth Advisor will offer comprehensive financial and investment advice to our Citigold and Citigold Private Client segments. Senior Wealth Advisors have access to Wealth's leading investment solutions platform, which allows us to deliver traditional and alternative investments, managed account solutions, best-in-class research and advice for all Wealth clients. The client is at the center of everything we do. As a Senior Wealth Advisor, you will partner closely with a dedicated Wealth team to meet the financial needs of our Affluent and High-Net Worth clients, including a Wealth Relationship Manager and field experts such as Financial Planners, Insurance Specialists, Portfolio Consultants and Home Lending Officers.
Job Responsibilities:â?¢ Build relationships with new clients with the goal of bringing in new bank and brokerage assetsâ?¢ Deepen relationships with existing clients in Citi Personal Wealth Management and Retail bank through the use of financial planning and excellent discovery and profiling skillsâ?¢ Respond to referrals and introductions generated through business partners and recommend the best offering to clients based on client profiling and suitability assessmentsâ?¢ Make securities recommendations and provide investment advice to clients through a select number of solutions using firm models and researchâ?¢ Master referral opportunities to grow portfolioâ?¢ Refer opportunities to segment partners where appropriate (including, but not limited to Small Business Partners, Home Lending Officer, etc.)â?¢ Acquire new clients through converting referral leadsâ?¢ Manage client follow-up and adhere to all Regulatory and Compliance operating proceduresâ?¢ Ensure strict adherence to KYC/AML and other compliance normsâ?¢ Partner with all roles on branch team to ensure all clients have a positive in-branch experienceâ?¢ Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparencyâ?¢ Regularly assume an informal/formal leadership role within teams, including coaching and training new recruits
Qualifications and Skills:â?¢ 5-8 years of experience serving in a financial advisory capacityâ?¢ Experience in a proactive, successful sales and service role in the financial services industryâ?¢ Language skills in Mandarin/Cantonese preferred, but not requiredâ?¢ Strong analytical and financial skillsâ?¢ Strong verbal and written communication skillsâ?¢ Organized with strong attention to detailâ?¢ Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, and Word) and experience in financial planning software preferredâ?¢ Basic understanding of investment and financial planning strategies preferredâ?¢ Must be a self-starter, problem solver and a goal-oriented team player able to work without directionâ?¢ Securities Industry Essentials - SIE, Active Series 7, 66 (or 63 and 65) licensesâ?¢ Group 1 Insurance Licenseâ?¢ This position requires the employee to register as a mortgage loan originator with the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System and Registry ("Registry") and obtain a unique identifier from the Registry before referring interested clients to Citibank for their mortgage needs, to maintain and renew that registration on an annual basis, to update registration information with the Registry on a timely basis, and to provide that unique identifier to consumers as required by applicable SAFE Act regulations and Citi policies and procedures
