Busy Advanced GI opportunity in Southwest MO:

• Must do ERCP and EUS
• Qualified BE / BC
• Visa accepted: H1B
• Practice type: Hospital Employed
• Join 2 employed physician, and 3 independent physicians
• Call: 1 in 6 weekdays

About the role:

• In the office the NP usually sees about 8-10 patients per day, while physician scopes
• Booking about a week and a half out for new patients and we do accept new patients
• Have 3 exam rooms, physician office, waiting room, clinical staff space
• Physicians would share our NP, both physicians would not be in the office at the same time

NP Role

• The NP goes to the hospital as well as the clinic and helps with consults for Medicare and Medicaid patients
• She usually helps daily with patients that require a follow-up
• Her support would allow you to perform more scopes

Call Schedule

• Weekday: Call is 1:6. One GI takes call approximately one day per week and covers the ER and they only round on their own admitted patients
• Weekend: The GI on call has the entire hospital
• On the day after call, procedures are done in the hospital we block inpatient and outpatient on that day
• When physician is on call he is usually very busy, typically he will see 2-5 consults per day and those usually require to be scoped the next day. Also call over the weekend, it is also very busy. Physician usually sees 5-10 consults that require close follow-up (i.e. scopes, office visits, cts/us, and laboratory monitoring).

Volume

• Approximately 21 procedures per day (not patients) and approximately 101 per week
