Job Description

The Western Digital University Recruitment team is hiring a Recruiter focused on technical hires pursuing Bachelors, Masters and PhD. Opportunity is also open to hybrid or remote worker pending on location. Ideal candidate location is Bay Area, Northern California.

As a University Recruiter, you will partner with both hiring managers and our core university partners to support university recruitment experience.

Responsibilities

You will be a key partner to help identify and hire university talent as a brand ambassador for Western Digital. Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Full life-cycle recruitment for new college graduates and interns across multiple functions, including: building the talent pipeline, interviews, and offersDeveloping strong university partnerships to proactively build a pipeline of new college grads and interns for existing and future needs of the organizationPromoting our Western Digital brand throughout the recruitment cycleCommunicate fearlessly to build trust; you will bring a strong perspective that inspires and motivates hiring partners and candidatesCollaborate amongst teammates and cross functional teams to meet deadlines and achieve goalsAbility to travel domestically, during peak recruiting cyclesSupport recruitment programs which help define and provide a comprehensive university experiencePartnering with internal stakeholders to define an all-encompassing candidate experienceDeveloping presentations and reports

Qualifications

Minimum of 2 years of demonstrated relevant experience -- previous experience in university/campus recruiting preferred; work in a technology, professional services environment, or higher education/career services is applicableCreative, self-motivated, self-learner with superior teamwork skillsKeen attention to detailExceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work on the resolution of any issue and to interact with various interdepartmental engineering and support organizationsDemonstrated project driving skills, capable of managing projects with set milestones and timelineAbility to execute with minimal supervisionProficient in Microsoft Office applicationsInterest in HDD, flash, semiconductor, components, nonvolatile memory industry
